Basic OOTD With Detailed Pieces
What to wear when you have nothing to wear
Like a lot of you, dressing up is one of my favorite things to do. It’s a great way to start my day, and I know that if I look good, I will seize the day for sure! Then there are these other days where your are having a bad hair day, just can’t get your eyeliner right after a thousand attempts, or are even PMSing ( right?) Yet,dressing up and putting on a great outfit can still liven up my day. Unless I wake up and realize I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!
Yup, we’ve all been there, and that’s okay, because today’s post is all about that safety outfit everyone should have in their wardrobe that you can always rely on. ALWAYS. Think of it like this, what is the most comfortable piece of clothing for you? Denims and a tee it is for me, and I think most people would echo that thought. A plain black tee and blue jeans to be more specific. But even a basic outfit can have it’s charm, am I right? It’s all about the details that make the basics shine.
I wore a basic black tee and paired it with frayed denims that I made myself (quite a tiresome process to fray but totally in love with the end result). Black accessories like my fav neoprene sock boots with perspex heels that fit so snugly (so in trend) and a textured black leather sling bag- both basics with great detail. Rose gold reflective shades were the perfect finishing touch.
Pro Tip : It’s very important to build your basics wardrobe. Although statement pieces are important for you to stand out, it’s actually the basics that you use with anything & everything. Good quality basics will last you a long time, therefore keep that in mind next time you’re shopping.
I hope this served as inspiration for days when you feel like you have nothing to wear and also to know how to make your basic outfit look better. Thanks for reading! xoxo
