Hi Loves! Guess what I’m going to talk about today? That’s right! FLORALS! Groundbreaking, isn’t it? Sarcasm aside, whether we like it or not, floral prints end up finding a comfortable place in our wardrobe every summer. And the reason is quite evident if you think about it. They flatter everyone, they never go out of style and with the innumerable variations available, they can never look boring.
Florals are usually bright and girly, whether it is daisies, sunflowers, lilacs or the current favorite cherry blossoms & roses. But dark florals is what I’ll be into this season. Mysterious & moody, dark florals invoke a feeling of strength with equal amounts of femininity. And the best part is they are not only limited to day occasions!
One of my favorite pieces is this chinoiserie satin kimono inspired throw that I had bought not too long ago. I hadn’t got a chance to wear it since Mumbai is always so hot & humid. But on a relatively cooler day, I made up my mind to add this summer layer to my ripped denims and crop top look. As soon as I put it on, my outfit changed from a regular everyday casual outfit to something so glamorous ( & more expensive looking, don’t you think?)
This outfit definitely deserved some heels. Instead of going the all black route, I mixed it up with hot pink leather mules that adds the right amount of pop & wore them with fishnet socks ( major trend alert!)
Pro Tip : Statement pieces are called statement pieces for a reason. If you can imagine my outfit without the throw, it would still look great. But the floral kimono just completes the look and makes a statement without trying too hard. Dark floral statement pieces definitely get my seal of approval!
Thanks for reading & hope you liked the pictures! Are you a fan of florals? Let me know how you would style florals in the comments below! xoxo

Guess what both r latest posts are about dark florals but both couldn’t be more different than the other. Loved the casual yet chic vibe if the look with the edgy ripped denims.
Love the look

I saw it & completely agree! Love how you mixed the two floral pieces!
I love this look. Especially the floral take on your rendition of dark. 🙂
