Heeeeyyyyy prettyyyy people! I have missed you! Since I have started doing this full time, my plate has been quite full with Instagram assignments, & I have got less time to blog. So today, I wanted to sit down & write about a few things I have been currently obsessed with. It seemed like a great idea to combine all my favorites into one outfit – so here it is!
Let’s start with a styling hack I started this blog with 🙂 – the backwards shirt
I love shirts & poplin tops – simply because there will always be AT LEAST 2 ways to wear them. This crisp white Zara top is perfect for work! On this particular occasion – I was feeling a little too exposed with the deep V neck & wore it backwards. I totally dig all the details, especially the sleeves! Even with all that is going on, this will always be a classic piece for me.
And how well does white complement tan! It’s no wonder white always looks so great on tan skin. This skirt has such a vintage feel to it – I feel it’s the star of this whole look. Can you guess where I spotted this? SHEIN!!! Now, don’t be intimidated by the appearance. It is quite airy because it is a skirt after all. Also, unlike other similar skirts that you get in the high street, this one was lined! So don’t sweat it ( get the pun?) In the future, I’m also going to try this with a statement belt. Get this skirt here before it sells out!
On to the next – the bag of the season – the transparent bag! Even with the outcry about plastic waste, PVC is proving to be a popular choice for luxury brands. It started with shoes & now is used for outerwear & bags too. Due to the trickle down effect, it is no surprise that Shein & lots of similar sites carry PVC bags. I got this one from Shein too because the handle & stud details are simply stunning. I am going to get so much use from this bag!
I styled this look with white mules with gold hardware – been wearing these with almost everything nowadays. You can check this one out, it mostly will be my next buy. Since the humidity doesn’t seem to die down, my choice of hairstyle has been a messy bun accessorized with a cute bandana. For this look, I chose a neutral leopard print one. Staying true to the vintage theme, I wore these beige shades. You can find some similar ones here & here.
So this was my look guys – involving few current trends as well as some pieces that I believe are timeless classics. Let me know if you would wear leather in this season? Do you like vintage inspired style? Let me know in the comments!
