Hi you lovely people! How’s it going? I have been really enjoying the drop in temperature as it really gives me an opportunity to bring out my jackets which I otherwise wouldn’t get the opportunity to wear! If you are in the same boat and love layering during winters, then this post is for you. 😉

Trends

I wanted to build this story around two trends that have been coined by us, for us –

  1. Millennial Pink : The Color of The Year named after our generation, literally. Marc Jacobs, Celine, Gucci, Balenciaga, Prada, Valentino, I can literally go on and on mentioning designer labels who have used this color in their collections. Naturally, it had to spill over to the high street and street wear. Millennial pink was a color waiting to happen – pink yet neutral. I did not like pink in 2016. Now, I love it.
  2. Groutfit : Simply put, a grey outfit. Yes, it is as easy as that. Oh, you didn’t know that could be a thing? Thank Gigi (and various other street style stars for it) Grey fits right in the middle of the scale – nor black nor white. Safe, not extreme. This humble, all flattering color packs a punch.

Get The Look

I am very fond of colors, and like I said I am REALLY getting into pink. When my eyes fell on this pretty suede jacket from Shein, I knew I had to get it! Isn’t it the prettiest,  most feminine, yet badass jacket you’ve ever seen? Statement jackets need to be the centerpiece of any outfit. I see so many people pair statement pieces with black &/or white which does work a majority of times. But black and white can be quite over powering on their own, hence the groutfit. Groutfits have earned a bad rep because they tend to look a tad dull, but when combined with a pink, greys just shine.

With my Shein jacket, I wore a ribbed grey turtleneck and comfy darker grey pants which I folded at the hem. You can do this with any of your formal pants to have a more casual feel. When you’re working with two strong trends, it is best to avoid any more color in the outfit. I accessorized with pink sneakers to keep with the casual sporty vibe. Silver shades and gunmetal earrings were all I completed the look with.

Why Should I Wear it & How Do I Get It?

Try this look if you love keeping up with trends and love PINK! Even if you aren’t the girliest girl, the belted rugged style compensates for the color. I’m pretty sure most of you would have grey tops and pants, so all you need is this millennial pink jacket! Get it here – http://bit.ly/2hWkYCY (It is the softest jacket and comes in plenty of other colors as well) If you’re getting this, make sure you get a size up.

Scroll down to enjoy all the pictures and leave me some nice comments! They always encourage me to keep going! Xx
